Fredi Mathys was born 1963 in Winterthur and grew up in Hettlingen, Winterthur and Davos. He is a skilled stove-fitter, a skilled mason, a graduate of the Bauschule Aarau and licensed head mason BZU. Since 1990 he runs his own business.

His customers include homeowners, architects and interior designers in Switzerland and abroad. Further he works for the Federation of Switzerland and various Cantons of Switzerland, monument conservators, Museums and monasteries, among others the Swiss National Museum in Zurich or the UNESCO World Heritage Site Monastery St.John of Müstair.

Fredi Mathys is a stove-fitter with a passion. He builds "his" constructions and installations himself. "Sitting at a desk the whole day is not for me" he says.
